After back-to-back storms, the South West should see fewer adverse weather conditions affecting people’s commute.

The weather forecast for the area is sunshine with a few showers, then turning milder and wetter tomorrow. (Saturday, December 11).

The A39 in Devon remains closed in both directions from B3234 Lynmouth Hill (Lynmouth) to B3223 (Hillsford) for emergency repairs after Storm Arwen.

Traffic monitoring website Inrix reports: “Following stormy conditions across the South West of England at the end of November, multiple trees came down. Until 31st December.”

The Met Office has issued a yellow ice warning for today. However it should not affect the South West as it covers Northern Ireland, parts of Scotland and areas in the north of England.
