Looking to brush up on your cheese board skills (yes, putting together a platter is art) or perfecting the art of the savoury crepe? You’re going to want to hit up Bon Fromage Festival’s digital component, which runs this year from 22nd to 24th October entirely online.
The great festival of French cheese is prepping a three-day program of masterclasses in collaboration with some of Sydney’s most knowledgeable food and drink experts, each spread across 16 different masterclasses tailored to offer a great variety for cheese lovers of all shapes, sizes, and tastes.
Cooking classes, in-depth how-to lessons, and more will be on full display across the three days. Some of the highlights include:
FRIDAY 22nd OF OCTOBER
1.00pm Cheesy Gourmet Class with Karl Thomas
Join the Head Chef at one of Australia’s most iconic venues and learn how to master the ultimate summer picnic grazing platter, just in time for the warmer weather.
2.30pm & 3:00pm Cheesy Crepes with Four Frogs 1 & 2
It’s time to ditch the Tuesday night stir-fry and up your meal game as you learn how to create the most decadent savoury crepes by the very talented French chef at Four Frogs Creperie.
4.30pm Wine and Cheese, The World’s Greatest Collab with Grégoire Bertaud
It’s a match made in heaven, that’s begging for your attention! Discover four cheeses and four wines for a pairing masterclass where our expert provides you with insight into what makes the perfect pair.
SATURDAY 23rd OF OCTOBER
11.00am Baking with Yves Scherrer
It’s Saturday morning, the birds are chirping, the sun is shining and a glorified ham and cheese croissant with béchamel sauce using double crème cheese is calling your name! Learn how to make the perfect pastry during this masterclass, with the Frenchiest pastry chef in Australia, Yves.
3.30pm Paint Me Like One of Your French Cheese with Pinot and Picasso
Whether you are a professional artist or a finger painter, let your creative mind run-free as you munch on a delicious array of French Cheese.
6.00pm Cheese & Gin with your Spirit Expert, Grégoire Bertaud
