Bedfordshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a brawl in Bedford in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
On Saturday (January 1) at 3.30am, a group of eight men became involved in an argument with two other men on Bedford High Street, near The Rose pub and Millennium takeaway outlet.
During the altercation, one of the men was knocked to the floor. The larger group then continued to assault him by kicking him while he was on the floor.

Detective Constable Lindsey Cook, investigating, said: “This was a violent attack in the middle of Bedford, at a time when people may have still been out and about following New Year celebrations.
